Timofej Stordeur is a true Berliner. He grew up in the Uckermark region, later moving back to Berlin to attend the C.-Ph.-E.-Bach- Musikgymnasium. After high school, he moved to Mainz to study with Prof. Malte Burba and Norbert Hass at the Musikhochschule, where he also minored in piano and organ.
Two years later, he transferred to Hans Eisler in Berlin to continue his studies with Prof. William Forman, Falk Maertens, Matthias Kühnle, Sören Linke, and Martin Wagemann.
His orchestral experience includes an internship at the Osnabrück Symphony Orchestra, a temporary contract as associate principal trumpet in the Münster Symphony Orchestra, and ongoing substitute work in Brandenburg an der Havel and at the Deutsche Oper Berlin.
Timofej is a founding member of the Berlin Brass Quintet.
In his free time he enjoys carpentry, building road bikes, and kite surfing.
