Jinhee Kim

JinHee Kim was born in 1990 in Seoul, South Korea. She had her first violin lesson at the age of 7, and went on to study at the Sunhwa Arts School from 2003-2006. Two years later, she switched to viola, and graduated from Sunhwa Arts High School in 2009.

She studied at the Ewha Womans University from 2009-2013, and continued to develop her knowledge and love of music thanks to chamber music, master classes, and orchestral projects. In 2014, she began her Masters at the Hochschule für Musik in Karlsruhe with Prof. Lüthy, graduating in 2017. In that time, she was an academist at the Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz in the 2016-2017 season.

JinHee continued on to Stuttgart, where she is currently working towards a degree in chamber music at the Musikhochschule in Stuttgart with Prof. Stefan Fehlandt (Vogler-Quartett), Gerhard Schulz (Alban-Berg-Quartett), and Peter Buck (Melos Quartett). She is a 2017 scholarship recipient of the Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now Stuttgart association, and has been an in the Academy program at the PHO from September 2017 to January 2018.
