Bogdan Michael Kisch

Bogdan Michael Kisch, born in 1990 in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, started playing the cello at the age of six. Since 2008, he is a student of Martin Ostertag at the HfM Karlsruhe, and was member of the Paul Hindemith Orchestra Academy from 2015 to 2017.

He has won numerous accolades and scholarships, including at the International Chamber Music Competition in Val Tidone, Italy, at the Johannes Brahms Competition in Pörtschach, Österreich, a scholarship from the Richard Wagner Scholarship Foundation, and first prize at the Chamber Music Competition of the Polytechnic Institute in Frankfurt.

He is currently a scholarship recipient of the Oscar and Vera Ritter Foundation and the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation “Live Music Now.”
